Open Text Web Solutions Developer

Yellow Pencil is a web development company based in Edmonton, Alberta with an office in North Vancouver, BC. We have been in business since 1997 and have great, long-term clients and an established business. We've got a team of about 15 people right now and we're looking to add one more. We are looking for someone who wants to do great work, get paid well for it and have a life at the end of the day. Our client base is primarily local but we're growing steadily with clients across North America, so travel to New York, Boston, Philadelphia and other exotic locations is an option. Yellow Pencil has grown through word of mouth and hard work. Our reputation is our business and we are proud of what we do and who we work with. We work on the best and most challenging projects in our market space. While we're planning to hire for our Edmonton office, working from the North Vancouver office is certainly an option.

Preferred Skill Set

  • 3+ Years experience working with Open Text Web Solutions (formerly RedDot CMS and LiveServer)
  • 5+ Years experience working with .NET, we prefer C# and work in .NET 2.0 and 3.5
  • Experience in Enterprise Content Management system implementation
  • Experience with Web Standards, Web Accessibility, Mobile Browser Display

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and Deliver enterprise-scale WCM Solutions using Open Text Web Solutions
  • Create custom controls within Open Text Web Solutions using .NET
  • Gather business requirements and craft solutions
  • Work with Yellow Pencil team to produce standards-compliant, accessible websites
  • Work with Client teams to assess needs and requirements then create elegant, simple and robust content entry interfaces
